Colour of the Navratri 2022 DAY 5 - Green
Green is the colour for Day 5, which is a symbol of peace and purity. Hindus worship Goddess SkandaMata on this day.
:Mantra for Skandamata :
सिंहासनगता नित्यं पद्माश्रितकरद्वया।
शुभदास्तु सदा देवी स्कन्दमाता यशस्विनी॥
Skandamata is four armed, three eyed, and rides on a lion. One of her hand is fear-dispelling Abhayamudra position while the other is used to hold the infant form of her son Skanda on her lap. Her remaining two hands are typically shown holding lotus flowers. She is light complexioned and as she is often pictured seated on a lotus. She is sometimes referred to as PADMASANI.
It is believed that she awards devotees with salvation, power, prosperity and treasures. She can grant oceans of wisdom even to most illiterate people if he happens to worship her.
Skanda is another name for Lord Kaartikeya. Lord Kaartikeya is brother of Lord Ganesha. Skandamata holds Kartikeya in her hand. So her name is Skandamata. Skandamata is radiant with 'Shubhra' complexion being white complexion.
One can be seated on a seat made of Kush and Chant the Mantras. In order to attain wisdom, one should worship Maa Skandamata with complete faith and devotions. Apart from this, Maa Skandamata also blesses her devotees with prosperity and Salvation.

Food for Navratri 2022 Day 5 is Instant Rava Dosa. Instant Rava Dosa is one or the most favourite food of South India. Rava Dosa is a thin pancake or crepe originating from South India. Made from a fermented batter predominantly consisting of lentils and rice. It is somewhat a similar to a crepe in appearance, although savoury flavours are generally emphasised.
