Navratri Is the festival of Dance, Colours of joy and worshiping Goddess Navadurga in Gujarat as well as around the globe. Navratri festival is the joyous way of worshiping goddess Durga, 'Nav' means NINE and 'Ratri' means night. The holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva combined their powers and created goddess Durga to safe guard the world from the Mahisharura. Navratri festival is celebrated in month of October/November. In North eastern and Eastern States, Navratri is Referred to as DurgaPuja. Navratri Referred to as Ramleelaa or Dussehra in these states. 

Significance of Colours 

As the nine days festivities begins, here is a list of colours dedicated  to each day and there importance. Wearing the colours according to the days brings in peace and harmony and you feel devoted and calm. 

First Day of Navratri : Pratipada Tithi : Orange

On the third day of Navratri people wear Red, the colour of beauty and fearlessness. This day people worship Goddess Chandra Ghanta. Who rewards people with her bravery, grace and courage.

Fourth Day of Navratri 2022 : Chaturthi Tithi : Royal Blue 

On this fourth day of Navaratri 2022 people wear the fantastic Royal Blue Colour. The colour signifies Good Health and Prosperity. On this day Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped. Goddess Kushmanda has Eight hand and thus is also known as AshtaBhuja Devi.

Fifth Day Navratri 2022 : Panchami Tithi : Yellow 

The colour of the day is eye-catching  Yellow. This colour stands for happiness and brightness. On this day Goddess SkandMata is worshiped and is also known as the mother of lord Kartikeya and Skanda.

Sixth Day of Navratri 2022 : Shashthi Tithi : Green

Colour of the day is Green and it signifies new beginnings and growth. Hindus worship Goddess Katyayani on this day and she is seen as the slayer of tyrannical demon Mahishasura.

Seventh Day of Navratri 2022 : Saptami Tithi : Grey

The Colour of the day is Grey, which stands for strength and transforming. Hindus worship Goddess KaalRatri on this Day.

Eighth Day of Navratri 2022 : Ashtami Tithi : Purple 

Day eighth of Navratri is the day of Kanjak. The day is celebrated by feeding small girls who are considered to be the Avatar of the Goddess . The Colour signifies the power of intellect and peace. Goddess MahaGauri is Worshipped on this day who has the power to fulfil all the desires of her devotees. It is said the one who worships this goddess gets relief from all the sufferings in life.

Ninth Day of Navratri 2022 : Navami Tithi : Maha Navami : Peacock Green

This is the last day of Navaratri and thats why this day is called Maha Navami. People worships Goddess Mata SiddhiDatri. And wears Peacock Green Colours to make the goddess happy and contented. Ma Sidhhi Datri is the goddess of Siddhis.
